My father was the first to introduce me to fishing back in the early 1960’s. For my 6th birthday I became the proud owner of a Zebco rod and reel. My first fish caught was a Blue Gill, I couldn’t have been more excited and was myself hooked.  At the age of 11 my father introduced me to fly rods, where I received a Fenwick rod made out of a new high tech material called fiberglass (I still have this rod).

As I entered adulthood, I spent less and less time fishing as I focus more on my career and family. Decades went by when out of the blue I was approached by my wife Melinda to adopt a hobby that both of us could enjoy as a couple.  She was aware of my love of fishing and recommend we take up fly fishing, the rest is history.  We have been members of FFCOC for nearly a decade and have been on the board for nearly all of our association with the club.

Whether you’re a novice or a pro at fly fishing, FFCOC has learning opportunities for all; Casting, Rod Building, Fly Tying, Guest Speakers and most of all, long lasting friendships and fun. Come join us, you too will be hooked.
