I started Flyfishing in 1995 by taking a trip to Peru with Ralph and Lisa Cutter. Fished the Rio Ucayali and the Pacaya-Samiria Reserve for Peacock Bass, piranha, catfish and anything else that would take a fly. First fish on a fly was a red bellied piranha.
Trio was so much fun that I returned next year with the entire Cutter family. Spent the second week traveling to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Caught 2 rainbow trout on the Urubamba River close to Machu Picchu.
Favorite place to fish include Crowley Lake, Pyramid Lake Nevada, Green River Utah, Rio Negro area of Brazil, and any place the Club has an outing.
